House Passes $4.4 Billion Israel Security Support Act, 2024 Without Clear Party Lead

House passed the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024, giving $4.4 billion for military support and various other funds for defense systems and security grants to Israel, without a clear party driving the vote.

This bill gives money to help with the situation in Israel and for related costs until September 30, 2024.

    • FEMA - Operations and Support: $10 million for managing grants to non-profits for security, available until September 30, 2027.
    • FEMA - Federal Assistance: $390 million to help non-profits with security against terrorism or other dangers.
      • $160 million of this money can be used until 2025, and $230 million until 2026. This includes some flexibility for quicker use and up to two percent for state administration costs.
